Chicken Parmigiana Wings

Take these simple breaded wings a step further and create a delicious, finger-licking Parmigiana finger food. The family will love Friday night fun with this favorite

Ingredients
  1. 2 lbs (1 kg) chicken wings, tips removed
  2. 3 tbsp (45 mL) canola oil
  3. 1/3 cup (75 mL) seasoned dry bread crumbs
  4. 1/4 cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
  5. 1 tsp (5 mL) dried Italian seasoning
  6. 1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and black pepper
  7. 1 cup (250 mL) tomato basil pasta sauce
  8. 1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss chicken wings with oil to coat. In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Sprinkle over chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Place chicken wings in a single layer on prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and no longer pink inside, turning once.
  4. Push chicken wings together and spoon sauce over top of wings. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and return to oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  5. Serves 4
