Ingredients
  1. 1 TBSP vegetable oil 15 ml
  2. 1 lb lean ground beef 500 g
  3. 1 cup finely chopped onion 250 ml
  4. 1⁄2 cup finely chopped celery 125 ml
  5. 2 cups spicy tomato sauce (such as Arrabbiata) 500 ml
  6. 2 cans (each 14 oz/398 ml) baked beans in tomato sauce
  7. 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce 15 ml
  8. 1 can (8 oz/250 g) country-style biscuit dough
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease an 8-cup (2 L) baking dish.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add beef, onion and celery and cook, breaking up meat with a spoon, until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are softened, about 7 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce, baked beans and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour into prepared dish.
  5. Separate dough into individual biscuits. Arrange evenly over top of bean mixture (there will be spaces in between). Bake in preheated oven until biscuits are puffed and brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve immediately.
  6. Serves 6.
