2 garlic cloves, minced
2 1/2 cups half and half cream
6 baking potatoes, peeled
2 Tbsp. flour
3 cups grated gruyere (Swiss) cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
Stir garlic into cream and set aside. Slice potatoes into paper-thin rounds and toss with flour. Arrange half the potatoes in a 9"x13" glass baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the cheese and pour half of the cream mixture over top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 325 F. for 1 hour. Remove cover and continue baking for 1/2 hour, or until potatoes are tender.

This was VERY easy to prepare, was tasty, though next time I'd add onions . . . scalloped potatoes just don't taste quite right without them. Overall 4 stars.

These are pretty much the easiest scalloped potatoes I have made. I used to do the whole white sauce base thing so you're dragging out the butter and flour etc ...

These are also among the most delicious I have made too. They get 5 stars from this reviewer.
